Why select Macquarie Park as your ultimate destination
The Macquarie Park Trustees recognise that the cemetery is primarily a place for the living, a tranquil environment where current and future generations can share cherished memories, pay their respects and celebrate the lives and achievements of those who have gone before.
We strive daily to maintain our vision of being a caring and responsive organisation, an integral part of our diverse community and at the forefront of world class memorial parks.
A Trust Cemetery is a not-for-profit organisation. Successive honorary boards of trustees have taken on the responsibility of care, control and management of the 64 hectares of NSW Crown Land that comprises the park.
The parklands at Macquarie Park have served the needs of Sydneysiders since the first burial within the grounds in 1922.
The Trustees are appointed by and responsible to the NSW Department of Lands to ensure that the Cemetery and Crematorium is effectively and efficiently administered as a non-profit public service under the Crown Lands Act.
The environment you enjoy is a tribute to the efforts of many
When visiting Macquarie Park you will undoubtedly see uniformed outdoor teams hard at work, maintaining and renewing the cemetery’s various sections, carrying out burial duties and other special services. First time visitors will generally have direct contact with our Family Consultants who are based within our park administration offices.
Family Consultants are here to guide you through the cemetery’s burial site and memorial options, explain your funeral’s service and interment process and introduce you to the crematorium, chapels and the park's comprehensive facilities. Their experience and compassion will remove many of your funeral concerns, they can advise you on planning a funeral, the benefits of pre-payment - simply make an appointment so enough time is dedicated to discussing your plans and you can select a site that is appropriate to your wishes.
Our office opens from 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 4.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays, we look forward to welcoming you to our special place.

Our team makes the difference
Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium is open to the community it serves every day, and continues to offer a unique and inspirational experience within its 64 hectares (160 acres) of attractive and meticulously maintained parkland.
The Board of Trustees regularly hold OPEN DAYS to enable you and those like you to dispel the many myths and mysteries surrounding the funeral industry. You are encouraged to walk freely throughout the cemetery grounds at any time or participate in one of the Behind the Scenes tours of Sydney’s most modern crematorium. Behind the Scenes tours of the park and crematorium area are a feature of Open Day and leave hourly between 10:00am and 2:00pm from the administration building.
