Why Choose
Macquarie Park
Cemetery & Crematorium?

Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium is Sydney’s most beautiful parkland memorial site located at North Ryde in Sydney’s leafy north west.

In 1902, the NSW Government allocated 65 hectares of Crown Land, to be called the Northern Suburbs Cemetery. A Board of Trustees was appointed in 1920 and the first burial took place in April 1922.

The Trustees of Macquarie Park took the bold step in 2000 to establish a modern crematorium and three chapels to meet the ever increasing demand for cremations.

With its tranquil parkland setting for burials and cremated remains, together with modern state of the art chapels for services, Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium is well suited to serve our diverse community in todays modern world.

A modern landmark administration building, cafe and florist plus four beautiful function rooms – for after funeral gatherings – is conveniently located near the chapels.

Our vision is “To be a caring and responsive organisation, an integral part of our diverse community and at the forefront of world class memorial parks.”

"Caring for our diverse community with trust, dignity and compassion since 1922"
